4:23-cv-00249-ZMB Henreid v. Kodner Watkins LC et al Motion Hearing Document: 97

Docket Text: ELECTRONIC MINUTE ENTRY (no pdf attached) for proceedings held before District Judge Zachary M. Bluestone: Motion Hearing held on 2/27/2026. Pro Se Plaintiff not Present. Defendants and Counsel for Defendants present. The Court DENIES Henreid's [88] First Motion for Sanctions as moot given his indication that the second motion for sanctions supplanted it, and as indicated in its prior order, see Doc. 96, the Court STRIKES Henreid's [89] Second Motion for Sanctions as a sanction for disregarding a court order by failing to appear at the hearing. The Court noted that this is the second time Henreid prevented a substantive hearing on Defendants' Motion for Examination, Doc. 75, and other discovery matters--adding to a pattern of failing to comply with court orders and to prosecute his case. The Court briefly inquired as to the status of discovery, and Defendants indicated that Henreid has failed to meet his discovery obligations in various ways, including by failing to appear for his deposition, respond to discovery requests, or even complete his initial disclosures. Defendants also indicated that Henreid has not made any discovery requests either. The Court will give Henreid an opportunity to address these purported discovery violations and other discovery issues at what will be the final hearing on these matters. Accordingly, the Court set a final status hearing for March 16, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 14-South. At the hearing, the parties must come prepared to address: (1) Defendants' [75] Motion for Examination; (2) any remaining issues related to Defendants' [80] motion to prohibit Henreid from designating any future experts; (3) any forthcoming discovery motions filed between now and the hearing. Appearance in person is required, and the hearing will not be moved again. Henreid's failure to appear in person will result in the dismissal of this case, potentially with prejudice. (Court Reporter:Erikia Schuster, Erikia_Schuster@moed.uscourts.gov, 314-244-7926) (proceedings started: 1:10 pm) (proceedings ended: 1:40 pm) (Deputy Clerk: H.
